New Beginnings

January has come to an end and in it was new life and new beginnings. I had the privilege of  doing my first newborn shoot.

Baby Jonah is the first baby I have photographed professionally. I was excited, flattered and to be honest a little bit nervous taking on this request. However, Ana Brandt has some amazing videos on newborn photography, so I was able to gain some confidence and head to the shoot with some great tips and ideas.

Jonah, was a great little model. He gave me the experience that I needed. I learned a lot from the shoot and I hope that I was able to satisfy his parents’ wishes by giving them a portrait to last a life time.

I was also asked to photograph baby Myla who, like Jonah, was also born on December 31st, 2014.

She was wide awake and ready for the camera. Such a sweetheart and another gift to this wonderful world we live in.

It certainly was my pleasure to be able to capture the beginning of Jonah and Myla’s lives.

A picture is worth a thousand words; I’m glad I got a chance to write the beginning of their stories.
