The last couple of weekends I have had the privilege to work on improving my craft. I am grateful that my family and friends are supportive of me, my dreams and my goals. I guess I have been lucky in that respect, or am I blessed? Either way, I got to go out with my camera and do what I love to do – take photographs of people.

On both occasions it was more like a laid back walk in the park with family and friends. The fall colors are gorgeous this time of year. While we walked through the park they were talking about this and that –  and I was looking at opportunities. Opportunities to capture the perfect shot.

I enjoy capturing the true essence and natural beauty of people. Snapping that moment in time – the moment before they think they are posed and ready to shoot is usually the “money shot” in my opinion.

It truly is exciting to come home after a photo shoot and load my photos onto my computer. It almost feels like I am unwrapping a present. I am unwrapping a gift that I want to nurture, love and improve; and then when I am done playing with it I will wrap it back up and give it away to the people who were good enough to let me have it in the first place.

Did I capture the money shot?

I can honestly say that I am happy with the recent work I have done! If you want to see more swing by my website or Facebook page and have a look.

Thanks for reading!
