A feeling of being united. A feeling of belonging. A sense of self worth.

Those are some things that come to my mind when I think about camaraderie. Maybe I’m a slow learner or maybe I’m just exactly right where I am meant to be; either way, I have finally gained the wisdom and the insight to realize that most people just want to belong. Most people just want to fit in. Most people want to share themselves with similar like minded people.

It’s a great feeling to be running in a race and have that ‘fellowship’ where everyone is competitive, but yet also so supportive of each other at the same time. It’s a great feeling to be riding my motorcycle down the highway and having a complete stranger give the wave of “hello fellow rider” as they ride past.

So whether I am participating in a one night paining class, sharing my runs with people in my running group, riding my motorcycle, or simply sharing my work in an online photography group; I have found people just like me! And that is an awesome feeling.
